This is an original based 16v engine, very popular with the MK1 owners ‘back in the day’. This can be offered as a capacity increase, for those already running a 1.8 16v, or can be offered as a full conversion for those requiring the reliability and tuning options the 16v offers. This engine is an ideal base engine for forced induction, ie turbo or supercharger. |
