Originally starting out as a standard MK4 Golf 2.8 V6 24v. Which made way for a BAM 1.8T 20v from out of an Audi S3 along with all the ancillaries i.e. clocks, gearbox & wiring loom.

The engine started out in its standard mode but this was soon altered with a Custom Code Phase 2 remap a Forge fully atmospheric dump valve and Forge cold air induction kit. Along with a Forge front mount intercooler, 3” de-cat and downpipe with a Milltek R32 catback exhaust system supplying the car with a truly awesome sound.

With the Phase 2 remap this roughly gives the car around 290bhp and 285ft’lb of torque at the drivers disposal.

The outside of the car has been treated to a full body respray which has also included colour co-ordinating the 18” RS4 wheels along with the new de-badged front grill and full R32 body kit. The lowered R32 full suspension has also been added to help with the look of the car, with future plans to replace this with a set of FK coilovers enabling the car to have a even lower stance.

Other future plans include replacing the Golfs front brakes with a set of Brembo calipers taken from a Seat Leon Cupra R and whatever the bank balance will allow.

With the tuned 1.8t fitted and linked upto the 4 Motion drivetrain and with it’s stunning looks this Golf has been transformed into a VW equivalent of the Audi S3, and there’s still more to come.
